It’s a good thing I only got myself a sample of Dr. Hauschka Tinted Day Cream because I will be honest, I am not the biggest fan. While I am a big fan of the brand and love their Rose Deodorant and Hydrating Hand Cream, their Tinted Day Cream is just not for me. Although it has several glowing reviews online, I prefer other tinted face creams.
First of all, it’s too dark for my skin. When buying it I didn’t even check its colour in all honesty. I just thought it was one of those creams that adapt to the skin colour and blend in, regardless of how light or dark you are. But I was wrong.

My face is already darker than the rest of my body due to sunspots and after applying Dr. Hauschka Tinted Day Cream it looks even darker. It does look a bit better after a good rubbing and just leaving it on for a bit but still, it’s just not a good match for my skin colour.
Although the colour is not good for me, it may be suitable for darker complexions. However, also if the tint was perfect, I would not get myself a full-size product.
The cream is neither light nor heavy, it’s somewhere in the middle I would say. It doesn’t spread that easily as it doesn’t have that soft, buttery texture.
Once applied, it feels a bit heavy on my skin. It just sits on my skin and when I touch my skin I can feel it there. It’s not a nice feeling. I prefer something more lightweight and easy to absorb. However, it makes my skin feel incredibly soft, like no other tinted face cream which is what I really like about this cream.
Another positive is that it does give my skin a slight glow but in terms of coverage, it’s very light, lighter than what I would expect from a tinted cream. My imperfections are still quite visible which is disappointing and I was hoping that it would at least slightly improve my skin tone but not even that. There is barely any difference.
For all these reasons, I don’t recommend this tinted day cream although it’s very natural when it comes to its ingredients but unfortunately, it’s not for me.
I much prefer Weleda’s Tinted Day Cream which is light, improves my skin tone and looks really natural. When wearing it my skin looks good without the heaviness of liquid foundation.
Saying all this, if you have a darker complexion you may love Dr. Hauschka Tinted Day Cream, who knows? This is my personal experience at the end of the day and it doesn’t mean it’s a bad product. It may be just more suitable for somebody else.
