Neal’s Yard Remedies Geranium & Orange Hand Cream review

Neal's Yard Remedies geranium and orange hand cream

Neal’s Yard Remedies Geranium & Orange Hand Cream* came free with the June’s issue of Marie Claire and I could not resist buying it, being a fan of Neal’s Yard Remedies for many years. I’ve been using it for months now as my main hand cream so I thought it’s about time to write this review.

Neal’s Yard Remedies’ products are made with high quality organic plant-based ingredients and they are all certified organic by the Soil Association. This hand cream is no exception of course. The cream is made with 92% organic ingredients which is a really high percentage – there are many brands out there which use a much smaller percentage of organic ingredients, but they still call themselves to be organic.

Neal’s Yard products are also cruelty-free, certified by Cruelty-Free International, and they also contain Fairtrade certified ingredients.

Geranium & Orange Hand Cream contains the following ingredients:
Aqua (Water), Glycerin, Glycine soja (Soya) oil*, Cetearyl alcohol, Prunus amygdalus dulcis (Almond) oil*, Cera alba (Beeswax)*, Cetearyl glucoside, Aloe barbadensis (Aloe vera) leaf juice powder*, Citrus sinensis (Orange) peel oil expressed*, Pelargonium graveolens (Geranium) flower oil*, Levulinic acid, Sodium levulinate, Tocopherol, Helianthus annuus (Sunflower) seed oil, Potassium sorbate, Xanthan gum, Citral, Citronellol, Geraniol, Limonene, Linalool. *Organically produced ingredient.

Made with 92% organic ingredients

This natural hand cream has a pleasant scent, I can definitely smell orange and geranium comes out more like a subtle, background scent. The scent is a little bit strong but I do love it so I don’t mind.

Geranium & Orange hand cream is a thicker consistency than the lotion and it spreads easily, leaving hands feeling nice and soft.

I haven’t been suffering from extremely dry hands so I cannot say how it would work on those, but for slightly dry hands it works great, leaving them nourished and moisturised without greasiness.

Overall, this is a great natural hand cream as it contains premium ingredients but I would want to try other similar hand creams so I could compare them before deciding what my go-to natural hand cream would be.
