Evolve Organic Beauty: Hyaluronic Serum 200 Review

Evolve Organic Beauty has been on my radar for a long time but until now I’ve never got to try any of their products.

I’ve received Hyaluronic Serum 200 in The Natural Switch Starter Pack from Mint Green and when I saw it I was really excited to try it. This is a 99% natural and 36% organic product which is suitable for all skin types but it is especially targeted at those with fine lines and wrinkles. This is a vegan product, handmade and certified organic by Ecocert (COSMOS Organic certification).

Evolve Organic Beauty Hyaluronic Serum 200 is so good that it has won many beauty awards, for example, it won the Beauty Shortlist award in 2017, 2018 and 2019 and many others.

I read many positive reviews about this product online so I had high hopes! I am in my late 30s and my fine lines are now becoming more and more visible. Although I am using a moisturiser every day and night oil in the evening (when I remember!) I don’t think that’s enough. I believe at this stage I should definitely use the serum to help with my ageing skin. So let’s see how I got on with Evolve’s Hyaluronic Serum 200…

Texture

The serum has a gel-like consistency. I would say it’s slightly thinner than a gel but it definitely feels like a gel. It’s very easy to spread and absorbs pretty quickly leaving no greasiness behind.

Ingredients

The star ingredient of this serum is of course Hyaluronic Acid which is well known for its hydrating properties and capability to retain water.

Hyaluronic acid helps with collagen production and is something that our bodies produce naturally. But as we age, less hyaluronic acid is produced and it is believed that adding this acid to skincare formulations helps delay the ageing process. But does this actually work? The research shows that hyaluronic acid certainly has anti-wrinkle and anti-ageing effects.

The other ingredients in this serum include pomegranate extract, organic rose water and aloe vera juice. For a full list of ingredients check out this page.

Results

After about a week of using serum day and night, I could definitely see an improvement on my skin. Fine lines, particularly on my forehead appeared less prominent but only ever so slightly.

The sample 10ml bottle lasted me for about 3 weeks (used twice a day) and after the end of this period, I carefully examined my face to see whether anything has changed. To be honest, I think I have to use this serum much longer than 3 weeks to see any significant changes. Yes, they are some slight improvements but barely noticeable.

However, the serum definitely has a positive effect on my skin and when I use it I notice an almost immediate plumping effect.

I am not expecting my fine lines to magically disappear but now that I’ve found the product with the plumping effect that actually works I will definitely stick with it. I am now planning to buy a full-size bottle of Hyaluronic Serum 200 and I am also thinking of getting their day moisturiser as some users have reported that the serum works even better when combined with the Daily Renew Facial Cream.
